My Final Post, Again

Image
Hi everyone! This is the final post of the term. I have to admit that this has been the toughest term for me. Since we transitioned to online education in the middle of the year, everyone has been facing challenges. It was difficult to keep up with the lessons on time, and I felt like I was constantly playing catch-up throughout the term. However, I managed to complete my tasks. It's not surprising to see that I have improved in many areas of education. I utilized various tools that I hadn't used before and prepared materials that greatly contributed to my growth as a teacher candidate. Yes, this course has been challenging, but I have no regrets about taking it. The most difficult project for me was preparing a flipped teaching video since I had no prior experience in video editing. I had to navigate through Canva extensively to create the video, which eventually helped me improve even further.

Creating a Webquest

Image
Hi people! For this activity, I worked individually and prepared a Webquest. We were to choose a unit that captivates our interest from MEB's digital book for the English course. Unit 7 which is about Wonders of the World seemed appealing to me. We could either prepare a whole new activity or work on and improve an existing activity in the unit we choose. I preferred to create a new activity because an idea came to my mind and I thought it would be a great experience to create an activity like that. In the activity, the students will choose a Wonder of the World according to their opinion. It does not have to be one of the actual Wonders and then they will prepare a digital poster about it.  I had never even heard the name, let alone used Webquest before. I was like a child who was discovering things. But the website itself is helpful enough. It explains what to write, how to write, and where to write. Since my idea of the activity was ready beforehand, all I needed to do was

AR/VR Integrated Materials: EDINBURGH

Image
Hi everyone! It is time to create again. We studied AR/VR integration into educational materials. They provide engaging and interactive learning experiences, including 3D models, virtual experiments, and collaborative virtual classrooms. These tools revolutionize education by making abstract concepts more tangible, fostering active learning, and expanding the possibilities of remote education. Now, we are preparing an AR/VR integrated material. My friend Zelal and I chose to go on a 3D trip to the fascinating city of Edinburgh. Flipped Teaching Video

Image
Hello everyone! For this task, my friend Zelal and I prepared a flipped teaching video. I will explain what flipped teaching is shortly. The flipped classroom approach is a teaching model that reverses the traditional roles of in-class lectures and homework assignments. Instead, students learn new concepts at home through pre-recorded lectures or other instructional materials and apply their knowledge during class time through interactive activities, discussions, and collaboration with peers. The advantages of using this method in language classes include flexibility for students to learn at their own pace, active learning which involves more interaction and participation, collaboration which encourages teamwork and peer-to-peer learning, and personalization where teachers can tailor lesson plans to meet individual needs. However, some disadvantages may include technical issues such as access to technology and reliable internet, lack of motivation for some students, time constraints
